First subsidy-free offshore windfarm, Tesla's enormous battery in SA exceeds expectations, and Europe's first ultra high speed chargers

What a difference a year makes! The first subsidy-free offshore wind farm will move ahead in the Netherlands - which is a milestone for renewable energy; Tesla's enormous battery in

South Australia is far exceeding expectations and responding even more quickly than the coal-fired backups that were supposed to provide emergency power; and Europe's first ultra high speed chargers for electric vehicles are now operational in Germany.

Thank you for being intelligent and respectful readers and participants in The Big Fix. I've now been doing the Daily Solutions Digest for two and a half years and couldn't ask for better readers. Your responses are thoughtful and generous and in that whole time we've not had any trolling. Perhaps it's because, as one of today's articles contends, pride, gratitude and compassion reduce the human mind's tendency to discount the value of the future - and, of course, all our stories are about creating a better future.
