Australian coalition to end modern slavery, U.S. report on goods produced by slavery, and Finland's dry run of Universal Basic Income

A coalition of Australian organisations have released a statement of support against modern slavery, setting out key principles for the introduction of a Modern Slavery Act in Australia;

the U.S. Department of Labor's 2016 report on “a list of goods produced by child labor or forced labor” is a good place to start if you want to reduce the number of products you buy that are made with slave or child labor. It also includes examples of “good practice” to eliminate slavery; and Finland is the first European country to launch a major dry run of Universal Basic Income and it's first year has resulted in some very positive feedback.
